Visitor Parking

Parking and Transportation Services works to make parking on campus as easy and convenient as possible. All vehicles on campus must either prominently display a USF parking permit, or pay for hourly parking.

Visitors have several options to obtain a parking permit. Daily/Visitor permits are available at the Parking Services Building (PSB101) or Campus Information Center (CIC) located at the main USF entrance. These hang-tags are validated by scratching off the current date.

Visitors familiar with the campus may use “D” Daily/Visitor pay stations conveniently located in or near most “D” Daily/Visitor parking areas to purchase daily or “Pay by Space” permits. Pay station signs indicate available parking options, either daily or hourly Pay by Space. The pay station machines only accept Visa or MasterCard payments.

Frequent visitors to campus may purchase a “Friends of USF” semester or yearly pass. Please visit our Web site at www.usf.edu/parking_services for rates and additional information.

Occasional visitors may obtain a free courtesy permit (up to three times per semester) good only in the Parkn- Ride lots and then use the service of the fare free Bull Runner Transit. Please feel free to use this service to move around campus. A valid USF ID or daily bus pass is required to board the Bull Runner which you can obtain from Parking’s main office or at the Campus Information Center. A bus pass is also provided on your receipt when you purchase a daily or “Pay by Space” permit from a pay station machine. The larger top part is the daily/visitor half for display and the smaller bottom part acts a receipt and Bull Runner Pass. You may also ride as a guest if you are accompanied by a USFCard holder. For more information please visit www.usf.edu/parking_services.

Motorist Assistance

Parking and Transportation Services Motorist Assistance Program (MAP) provides students, visitors and staff the following services:

  • Providing air for low or underinflated tires (sorry but we do not change flat tires) or sealant in the event of a flat tire
  • Jump-starting your vehicle. For assistance call 974-8040.

This complimentary service is provided from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Friday (except USF holidays). After 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and after 4:30 p.m. on Fridays, please call Allied Barton security dispatch at 974-8040. Note: Times may change during the summer semester. We have prioritized this service so that response times are typically less than 15 minutes and, with few exceptions, no more than 30 minutes.
